Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT infrastructure systems including cloud platforms and cybersecurity frameworks
- Provide technical support for VA-specific applications and veteran service platforms
- Implement data security protocols compliant with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions for veteran programs
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Document technical procedures and maintain system documentation
- Participate in federal IT modernization initiatives and system upgrades
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of federal IT compliance standards and security protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently in remote settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
- CITP certification or equivalent preferred
