Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure federal IT systems across remote infrastructure
- Lead cybersecurity threat detection and incident response protocols
- Manage cloud migration projects for federal compliance (FedRAMP)
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on critical infrastructure modernization
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits
- Develop technical documentation and SOPs for federal systems
- Mentor junior IT staff on federal compliance standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required for federal position
- Minimum 5 years experience in federal IT systems (GS-12 equivalent)
- Active CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud platforms with FedRAMP experience
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- Experience with federal procurement processes (FAR/DFARS)
- Strong documentation skills for federal compliance reporting
