Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will manage and support the department's IT infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted government operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) including hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems and networks.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to end-users regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
- Configure and manage virtualization environments and cloud services in compliance with federal regulations.
- Conduct regular system audits and assessments to ensure data integrity and system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active eligibility for a Public Trust background clearance.
- Experience with Federal IT standards, including FISMA compliance and NIST frameworks.
- Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP are highly preferred.
