Position Overview:
As a Federal IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of federal information systems. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure mission success and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal information systems in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Conduct system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new federal software and hardware solutions.
- Prepare and submit technical documentation and status reports to federal oversight bodies.
- Provide technical support and training to federal personnel on system usage and security protocols.
- Maintain strict adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent technical experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with polygraph (required for this role).
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT environments or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.
