Role Overview
As an IT Specialist, you will be the frontline support for federal personnel, ensuring system reliability and data security in a classified environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues for federal government clients.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex network configurations.
- Maintain and update technical documentation and ticketing records using ServiceNow.
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security policies and protocols.
- Conduct regular system audits and security assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of IT support experience in a government or defense contracting environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and Cisco networking.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical staff.
