Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for federal employees and internal systems during weekend shifts.
  • Monitor server infrastructure, networks, and endpoints to ensure 99.9% uptime.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software malfunctions efficiently.
  • Perform routine system backups and security patching during off-peak hours.
  • Document all incidents and resolutions in the Federal IT Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with the Weekday Support Team to ensure seamless handovers.
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software for federal clients.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking concepts.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Must be available to work weekends (Friday-Sunday) and holidays as required.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance (background check required).
