Responsibilities
- Monitor federal network traffic and system logs for suspicious activity during night shift operations.
- Analyze threat intelligence reports to identify potential security vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
- Generate and maintain detailed incident reports and operational logs for day-shift transition.
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders and day-shift teams to resolve escalated security incidents.
- Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and patch management verification.
- Ensure compliance with all federal security policies and compliance standards (NIST, FISMA).
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security analysis or SIEM operations.
- Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a 24/7 operational environment.
