Responsibilities
- Monitor critical network infrastructure and industrial control systems during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of federal hardware and software systems.
- Document all system anomalies, maintenance logs, and operational changes in accordance with federal compliance standards.
- Respond immediately to system alerts and security breaches, escalating issues to the lead engineer when necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during handover periods to ensure continuity of operations.
- Conduct security audits and validate system configurations to meet federal security protocols.
- Assist in the installation and deployment of new system updates and patches.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret Clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration, network engineering, or a related technical role.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) as required by federal operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, Linux/Windows Server administration, and SCADA systems.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical data.
- Security Clearance: Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.
