Responsibilities
- Server Monitoring: Oversee the health and performance of Windows Server and Linux environments 24/7 to ensure zero downtime and high availability.
- Security Compliance: Enforce strict federal security protocols, manage access controls, and audit logs during the night shift to protect sensitive data.
- Ticket Management: Resolve complex technical issues and prioritize help desk tickets for federal personnel efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Data Integrity: Perform regular system backups, apply critical patches, and execute disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.
- Network Administration: Configure, troubleshoot, and monitor network devices, routers, and switches to maintain optimal network performance.
- Incident Response: Respond to security alerts and system anomalies immediately, escalating issues to the Tier 1 team when necessary.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required (U.S. Citizenship).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering within a government or corporate environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Active Directory, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Strong ability to document procedures and communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
