Responsibilities
- Manage Federal Payroll: Accurately process and verify timesheets and payroll data to ensure employees receive their weekly pay on schedule.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain strict adherence to Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations and agency-specific policies.
- Administrative Support: Handle sensitive federal records, personnel files, and FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Agency Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for inter-departmental communications regarding project timelines and resource allocation.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in the implementation of new federal hiring initiatives and internal safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to federal employees and stakeholders, resolving inquiries regarding benefits and time-off.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for most federal positions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, payroll processing, or government contract management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with federal HR software (e.g., PeopleSoft, USAJOBS portal).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex federal regulations clearly.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background investigation and security clearance screening.
