Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end administration of the federal pension plan for Texas-based employees, ensuring accuracy in calculations and disbursements.
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA regulations, federal retirement laws, and state-specific pension statutes.
- Process retirement applications, conduct eligibility reviews, and manage pension documentation.
- Analyze pension fund data to generate accurate monthly and annual reports for internal stakeholders and auditors.
- Provide expert guidance and support to federal employees and retirees regarding pension benefits, eligibility, and claim status.
- Maintain and update pension records in compliance with data privacy and security standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to forecast pension liabilities and ensure long-term fund sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits, or actuarial science.
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems, ERISA, and compliance requirements (e.g., FERS, CSRS).
- Proficiency in financial software, database management systems, and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong analytical skills with an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
