Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end administration of Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) plans.
- Conduct rigorous audits of pension calculations to ensure strict compliance with IRS, OPM, and federal regulations.
- Provide expert consultation and support to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility, leave accruals, and benefit projections.
- Process retirement applications, service credit calculations, and monthly benefit payments with zero error.
- Collaborate with internal legal and compliance teams to interpret and implement new pension policy updates.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management regarding pension fund health and liability analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration, actuarial science, or federal benefits management.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA regulations and federal retirement laws (FERS/CSRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and pension software systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee data with the highest level of confidentiality.
