We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Federal Pension Plan Manager to oversee the administration and optimization of federal retirement packages. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily administration of Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) plans.
- Analyze actuarial data and pension projections to ensure financial sustainability of federal benefit programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to ERISA guidelines, federal procurement laws, and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations.
- Provide specialized consultation to federal employees regarding eligibility, vesting, and retirement benefits.
- Develop and maintain detailed reports on pension plan performance and compliance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal legal and compliance teams to mitigate risk related to pension liabilities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or federal consulting.
- Professional certification (e.g., FPC, CEBS, or Actuary credential) is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of Federal Retirement Systems (FERS/CSRS) and OPM regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and pension administration software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legislative changes and apply them to pension plans.
