Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including CSRS, FERS, and TSP with precision and regulatory compliance
- Process retirement applications, distributions, and benefit adjustments for federal employees
- Conduct comprehensive pension audits and financial reporting for OMB and congressional oversight
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements aligned with federal retirement legislation
- Provide expert guidance to federal agencies on pension administration best practices
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on retirement system modernization initiatives
- Lead weekend shift operations ensuring continuous pension service availability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Expertise in federal retirement systems (CSRS/FERS) and TSP regulations
- Professional certification (CEBS, ASPA, or similar) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software and federal reporting systems
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance details
- Clearances: Must obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
