Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with OPM and IRS regulations
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with 100% accuracy
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pension eligibility, distributions, and survivor benefits
- Conduct audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments on pension-related policy updates
- Prepare comprehensive reports on pension fund performance and compliance metrics
- Maintain confidential employee records in accordance with federal data security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Expertise in federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS, TSP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial calculations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension management software
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Federal background investigation clearance eligibility
