Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit pension plans for ERISA compliance through examinations and investigations
- Provide technical guidance to employers, plan sponsors, and retirement professionals
- Analyze complex pension plan documents (SPDs, Form 5500s) and financial disclosures
- Investigate potential violations and recommend corrective actions
- Develop educational materials for plan participants and fiduciaries
- Collaborate with legal teams on enforcement actions and litigation support
- Lead stakeholder outreach initiatives for pension plan transparency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or ERISA compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and pension accounting standards
- Strong analytical skills for complex financial data interpretation
- Excellent communication abilities for technical guidance and stakeholder engagement
- Federal background investigation clearance eligibility
- Professional certification (CEBS, ASPA, or CFA) highly valued
