Responsibilities
- Member Inquiries: Respond to phone and email inquiries from federal employees regarding their TSP accounts, contribution limits, and investment options.
- Data Management: Accurately process and maintain retirement records and contribution data in compliance with federal regulations.
- Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring that all pension processing activities adhere to the Internal Revenue Code and federal guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in pension processing workflows and suggest solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Education: Assist in creating educational materials to help federal employees understand their pension and retirement planning options.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: CFP or Series 6/7 licenses are a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-experts.
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a favorable background investigation.
