Responsibilities
- Analyze pension plan documents for ERISA and IRS compliance violations
- Conduct on-site audits of multi-employer pension plans
- Investigate participant benefit disputes and fiduciary breaches
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports and corrective action plans
- Provide technical assistance to plan sponsors and participants
- Coordinate with DOJ on enforcement actions and litigation support
- Train stakeholders on pension regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or related field
- 3+ years pension plan administration or compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS Code 401(k), and PBGC regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Clearances: Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance
- Preferred: CRC or CFA certification
