Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including FERS and CSRS systems
- Process retirement applications with 99.8% accuracy rate
- Conduct benefit counseling sessions for pre-retirement employees
- Ensure strict adherence to ERISA and OPM regulations
- Collaborate with regional offices in Ohio on policy implementation
- Maintain secure digital records of pension transactions
- Analyze pension fund performance and recommend adjustments
- Train new hires on pension plan procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Public Administration
- 3+ years experience in pension plan administration
- Familiarity with federal retirement systems (FERS/CSRS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of ERISA and OPM regulations
