Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including FERS and CSRS with 100% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility determinations and benefit calculations for retirement claims
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and OPM regulations
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees on retirement planning options
- Process annuity payments and manage beneficiary designations
- Develop training materials for agency HR partners on pension policies
- Collaborate with legal and audit teams on compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration experience
- Federal benefits certification (e.g., CBP or CEF) preferred
- Proficiency with HR/Payroll systems (e.g., NSPS, DEERS)
- Expert knowledge of FERS/CSRS regulations and TSP policies
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
