Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee federal pension plan operations in compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Calculate and process pension benefits for federal retirees and beneficiaries
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with federal retirement laws and policies
- Collaborate with HR departments to resolve employee pension inquiries and discrepancies
- Prepare detailed reports on pension plan status and financial health
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning options and TSP contributions
- Maintain accurate digital records of pension transactions and participant data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience with federal pension plans or retirement systems
- Proficiency in OPM regulations, TSP rules, and ERISA compliance requirements
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with pension management software
- Strong analytical abilities with attention to financial detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interactions
