Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee federal pension plan administration, including contributions, distributions, and record-keeping
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations (ERISA, OPM guidelines) and internal policies
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding retirement benefits, eligibility, and plan features
- Conduct audits of pension accounts to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to resolve complex benefit-related issues
- Prepare comprehensive reports on pension fund performance and regulatory compliance
- Train staff and stakeholders on pension plan procedures and policy updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, OPM retirement systems, and federal employee benefits
- Certified Employee Benefits Consultant (CEBS) or SHRM-SCP designation a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and pension-specific software
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
