Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with meticulous accuracy
- Conduct eligibility determinations and benefit calculations for retirement claims
- Ensure strict adherence to OPM regulations and ERISA compliance standards
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees on retirement planning options
- Manage complex case files involving disability, survivor, and early retirement scenarios
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments on pension-related audits
- Develop educational materials for pre-retirement seminars and workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of direct experience with federal retirement systems
- Certified Federal Retirement Benefits Planner (CFRBP) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of OPM regulations, TSP, FERS, and CSRS
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Benefitfocus, Workday)
- Strong analytical skills for complex benefit calculations
