Join the U.S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) as a Federal Pension Plan Specialist in Albuquerque, NM. Responsibilities
- Administer and audit federal pension plans to ensure strict compliance with ERISA, CSRS, FERS, and TSP regulations
- Investigate pension plan violations, conduct forensic reviews, and recommend corrective actions for federal agencies
- Develop and deliver pension compliance training for federal HR professionals and plan administrators
- Analyze complex pension data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for regulatory improvement
- Collaborate with OPM, Treasury, and GAO on multi-agency pension initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for congressional oversight and agency leadership
- Advise federal retirees on pension optimization strategies and benefit entitlements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years pension administration experience with federal or multi-employer plans
- Deep expertise in ERISA, CSRS, FERS, and TSP regulations
- Professional certification (CEBS, QKA, or SPHR) required
- Advanced proficiency in pension analytics tools (e.g., PensionPro, Milliman)
- Experience with federal procurement systems (FPDS-NG) and grant management
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
- Spanish fluency preferred for Southwest region outreach
