Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and OPM guidelines
- Process daily disbursements and payroll transactions with 100% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility verifications and benefit calculations for retirement accounts
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees regarding pension inquiries
- Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails for all pension transactions
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on retirement planning initiatives
- Monitor pension fund performance and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Proficiency in federal payroll systems (e.g., NPPS)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of federal retirement regulations (TSP, FERS, CSRS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under daily payment deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility
