Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring ERISA and IRS compliance
- Process retirement benefit applications with 99.8% accuracy
- Conduct plan audits and financial reporting for 401(k) and Thrift Savings Plans
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning strategies
- Coordinate with OPM and Treasury Department on regulatory updates
- Develop training materials for pension plan administrators
- Analyze plan performance data and recommend optimization strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Current Federal Benefits Certification (FBC) or equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and TSP rules
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., BenefitsPro, Workday)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
