Responsibilities
- Manage federal pension plan compliance and benefit calculations for 5,000+ participants
- Process retirement applications and resolve complex benefit discrepancies within 48 hours
- Conduct audits of pension records to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Develop training materials for agency HR partners on retirement plan regulations
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on policy updates and implementation
- Generate quarterly reports on pension fund performance and participant demographics
- Respond to congressional inquiries and FOIA requests within federal timelines
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in federal pension administration or benefits management
- Expert knowledge of CSRS/FERS regulations and ERISA compliance
- Advanced proficiency in federal payroll systems (e.g., NFC, HRIS)
- Professional certification (CEBS, PHR, or SPHR) preferred
- Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain immediately
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, SAS)
- Proven track record of resolving complex pension disputes
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
