Responsibilities
- Administer and calculate Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) benefits accurately.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to ensure precision in pension projections, disbursements, and survivor benefit calculations.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility, pension formulas, and Thrift Savings Plans (TSP).
- Ensure strict compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidelines and federal regulatory standards.
- Prepare, review, and submit quarterly and annual pension reports to senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Manage complex employee inquiries regarding pension claims, status updates, and policy interpretations.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to resolve discrepancies in employee records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience administering federal pension plans or equivalent Human Resources/Finance functions.
- Deep knowledge of FERS, CSRS, and Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance (if required).
