Responsibilities
- Administer and process federal pension applications for FERS and CSRS participants with precision and efficiency.
- Analyze employee service records and salary histories to calculate accurate pension estimates.
- Provide expert guidance and counseling to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility and benefit options.
- Ensure strict compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations and federal pension statutes.
- Conduct audits and reviews of pension data to identify discrepancies and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Collaborate with HR teams and external actuaries to optimize pension plan administration.
- Respond to complex inquiries from federal retirees and stakeholders in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal benefits administration, pension planning, or actuarial science.
- Deep knowledge of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if applicable).
