Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans with 100% accuracy for employee retirement accounts
- Process complex benefit calculations and distributions during night shift hours
- Maintain strict compliance with OPM and ERISA regulations
- Respond to urgent pension inquiries from federal employees nationwide
- Conduct audits and reconciliations of pension fund transactions
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to resolve benefit discrepancies
- Utilize specialized software for pension administration and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in pension/benefits administration
- Familiarity with federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and pension management software
- Ability to work independently during night shift (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Clearable federal background investigation required
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA) preferred
