Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with 5 CFR Part 838 and ERISA regulations
- Process retirement applications, survivor benefits, and pension adjustments during night shift operations
- Conduct audits of pension records and resolve discrepancies with federal agencies
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees on retirement planning and pension options
- Maintain secure databases of pension participant information using SAP HR systems
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on pension fund reconciliation and reporting
- Develop training materials for federal employees on pension plan benefits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Proficiency with federal HR systems (e.g., NCore, HRS) and SAP HR modules
- Knowledge of ERISA, TSP, and federal retirement regulations
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills for complex pension calculations and audits
- Active federal security clearance or ability to obtain one
