Responsibilities
- Process and administer federal pension claims for veterans and beneficiaries with 100% accuracy
- Review eligibility documentation against federal regulations (38 CFR Part 3)
- Manage confidential pension data using VA systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email during night shift hours
- Collaborate with legal and financial teams to resolve complex pension cases
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for audit purposes
- Train night shift staff on updated pension policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years experience in pension/benefits administration or federal compliance
- Proficiency in federal regulations (38 CFR, FERS, CSRS)
- Advanced skills in MS Office and VA-specific software (VBMS)
- Ability to work independently during night shift (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Active federal background clearance eligibility
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-SCP) preferred
