Responsibilities
- Analyze federal pension eligibility and calculate retirement benefits accurately based on service records and OPM guidelines.
- Conduct thorough reviews of service history to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Provide expert consultation to federal employees regarding their pension options, survivor benefits, and retirement timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal retirement policies, including FERS and CSRS plans.
- Collaborate with the HR team to streamline pension processing workflows and improve client satisfaction scores.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for audit purposes and internal record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Pension Administration, Human Resources, or Federal Benefits management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations and retirement calculation formulas.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems, Microsoft Excel, and pension-specific software.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data processing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
