- Administer federal pension plans ensuring strict compliance with OPM regulations and ERISA guidelines
- Conduct complex benefit calculations for retirement, survivor, and disability claims
- Develop and implement strategic pension fund investment strategies aligned with federal guidelines
- Provide expert consultation to federal employees on retirement planning options and benefits
- Conduct comprehensive audits of pension plan operations and financial records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize retirement program efficiency
- Prepare detailed reports for congressional oversight and agency leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in pension administration or federal benefits management
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA, or CFA) strongly preferred
- Expertise in federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and OPM regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM)
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in complex financial modeling
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
