Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with precision
- Conduct eligibility determinations, benefit calculations, and retirement counseling
- Ensure strict compliance with OPM regulations and annual reporting requirements
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements for agency-wide adoption
- Collaborate with finance teams on funding strategies and actuarial valuations
- Manage complex retirement cases involving disability, survivor benefits, and QDROs
- Train HR personnel on pension administration best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience in federal/government context
- SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, TSP, FERS, and OPM regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension software (e.g., PeopleSoft, ADP)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain immediately
