Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ERISA compliance audits for multi-employer pension plans
- Analyze financial reports and actuarial valuations to ensure plan solvency
- Coordinate weekend operations for emergency pension plan interventions
- Develop regulatory guidance materials for plan sponsors and trustees
- Investigate and resolve complex pension plan violations and fiduciary breaches
- Collaborate with state agencies on cross-jurisdictional pension matters
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for Congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or regulatory compliance experience
- Active Federal Benefits Specialist (FBS) certification required
- Proficiency in ERISA, PBGC regulations, and IRS pension code
- Advanced analytical skills with pension valuation software (e.g., Milliman, PBM)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Clearances: Public Trust and Tier 3 background investigation required
