Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal pension plans, including vesting calculations and benefit distributions
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and federal pension policies
- Conduct audits and resolve discrepancies in pension records
- Provide guidance to federal employees regarding pension eligibility and retirement planning
- Collaborate with finance teams on annual pension valuations and funding strategies
- Prepare detailed reports for regulatory bodies and senior management
- Support weekend shift operations with flexible scheduling (Fri-Sun)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Federal government or regulated industry background preferred
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS Code 401(k), and federal pension systems
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, FIS)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation a plus
- Ability to work independently on weekend shifts with minimal supervision
