Responsibilities
- Manage and process federal pension applications and retirement claims with 99% accuracy
- Provide expert guidance on FERS/CSRS retirement plans, survivor benefits, and annuity calculations
- Conduct pension audits and ensure compliance with OPM regulations and TSP guidelines
- Collaborate with federal agencies to resolve complex pension discrepancies and appeals
- Maintain secure digital records using federal benefits management systems (eBENEFITS)
- Develop educational materials for pre-retirement seminars and employee workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Expertise in federal retirement systems (FERS/CSRS) and TSP regulations
- Proficiency with federal benefits software (eBENEFITS, HRIS systems)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail and compliance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions
