Responsibilities
- Manage the comprehensive administration of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Conduct detailed benefit calculations and process complex retirement applications with precision.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to federal employees regarding pension eligibility, survivor benefits, and payout options.
- Ensure strict adherence to Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations and agency policies.
- Collaborate with HR operations to resolve complex pension discrepancies and employee inquiries efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and statistical data related to pension liabilities and fund status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal benefits administration, OPM retirement services, or actuarial science.
- Thorough knowledge of FERS, CSRS, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) regulations and guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and regulatory codes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for advising senior stakeholders and the public.
- Must be a US Citizen eligible for government security clearance.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite.
