Responsibilities
- Analyze and calculate federal pension benefits in accordance with FERS and CSRS regulations.
- Review and process Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) distributions and withdrawals.
- Ensure strict compliance with IRS rules, ERISA guidelines, and Department of Labor standards.
- Conduct comprehensive retirement planning consultations for federal employees.
- Collaborate with the legal team to resolve complex pension discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for federal audits and reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal benefits administration or pension plan management.
- Deep knowledge of Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex pension concepts to clients.
