Responsibilities
- Administer and manage federal pension plans (CSRS/FERS) ensuring regulatory compliance
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements with 99.9% accuracy
- Respond to complex pension inquiries from federal employees and retirees
- Conduct audits and reconciliations of pension accounts quarterly
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on policy implementation
- Prepare detailed reports for congressional oversight and agency leadership
- Maintain secure digital pension records in accordance with federal protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Expertise in federal retirement systems (CSRS/FERS) and TSP regulations
- Proficiency with pension management software (e.g., BENEFITS, HRIS)
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 certification preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM CT)
- Clearances: Public Trust or ability to obtain
