Responsibilities
- Analyze federal pension eligibility and calculate benefits using FERS and CSRS guidelines.
- Process and review retirement applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
- Conduct detailed consultations with federal employees regarding their pension rights and retirement options.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations, OPM guidelines, and internal compliance standards.
- Collaborate with HR departments and external agencies to resolve complex retirement discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records for all pension cases and financial data.
- Provide training and support to junior staff on pension calculation methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience with federal retirement systems (FERS/CSRS) and government benefits administration.
- Strong working knowledge of federal retirement laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension administration software.
