Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol federal premises to detect suspicious activity
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials for personnel and visitors
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms according to federal protocols
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security logs for documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Conduct regular security inspections of facilities and equipment
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive security information
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a federal security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Nevada driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work overnight shifts
- Proficient in surveillance systems and security technology
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to pass federal background investigation and polygraph test
