Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient support during weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday)
- Assist with patient intake, vital sign monitoring, and preliminary assessments
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless weekend clinic operations
- Manage patient scheduling and electronic health records during off-hours
- Administer medications and treatments under provider supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health systems
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent medical assisting certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Proficiency with EHR systems (VA Vista experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills for veteran-centered care
- Flexibility to cover occasional holiday shifts
