Responsibilities
- Analyze federal budget allocations and financial performance metrics to optimize resource utilization
- Develop comprehensive financial reports and policy recommendations for senior leadership
- Ensure strict compliance with federal accounting standards (GAAP) and Treasury regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives
- Monitor fiscal risks and recommend mitigation strategies for departmental programs
- Prepare testimony and supporting documentation for congressional hearings
- Maintain accurate financial records using Treasury's integrated accounting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal financial management or accounting
- Proficient with federal budgeting systems (e.g., MAX, SAP) and analytical tools
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and federal financial regulations (31 U.S.C., 31 CFR)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in fiscal data interpretation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for policy documentation
