Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and parks
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency response during weather events or public safety incidents
- Manage waste collection and recycling operations across designated zones
- Conduct daily inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, or split shifts
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous labor or construction experience a plus
