Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park infrastructure projects
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete public works projects on schedule
- Document daily work activities and material usage in digital reporting systems
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Preferred: 1+ years of construction or public works experience
- Must possess reliable transportation to work sites across Plano
