Responsibilities
- Execute infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and public facility upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) with precision and safety
- Perform concrete work, asphalt paving, and utility installation under expert supervision
- Adhere to OSHA standards and city safety protocols in all field operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Conduct site inspections and report maintenance needs to project managers
- Maintain equipment and work areas according to city regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B CDL license or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 2 years experience in civil construction/public works
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification required
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (excavator, loader, roller)
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in coastal weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
