Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road repairs, park maintenance, and utility infrastructure support
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power washers) under supervision
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain clean and organized job sites according to OSHA standards
- Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
- Participate in community beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety protocols
- Flexible availability including weekends and emergency call-outs
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Preferred: 6+ months construction/maintenance experience
- Preferred: Hazwoper or OSHA 10 certification
