Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, shoveling, lifting, and transporting materials for public works projects
- Assist in road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, drainage system upkeep, and park facility improvements
- Operate hand tools and light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, power washers) under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to prevent hazards
- Collaborate with crew members to efficiently complete daily assignments and project milestones
- Report safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, and environmental hazards immediately
Qualifications
- No prior experience required—comprehensive training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and commitment to workplace safety
- Valid driver's license preferred (not required at application)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
